The RYA powerboat training and RYA Motor Cruising specialists in Southampton, are a small family run RYA advanced powerboat training school.
Based from our purpose built classroom and office facility at Saxon Wharf Marina in Southampton. We provide a range of RYA courses to suit you. Our primary aim is to meet your individual needs and requirements to enable you to develop the skills to realise your boating ambitions.
Whether you’re starting out as a first time power boater, taking the helm on a bare boat RIB charter for the first time after passing your RYA powerboat level 2 or have more experience as an Advanced Power boater, we strive to provide our clients with the best possible tuition using only RYA qualified instructors in an encouraging, safe, fun environment.
POWERBOAT COURSES
The RYA Powerboat level 2 is the best all round RYA powerboat course for all entry levels. Whether you’ve just purchased a new boat, want to develop your existing skills or want to gain your ICC then look no further than RYA powerboat Level 2. From boat handling to theory, this course is sure to give you a good foundation in boating.
On completion of the RYA powerboat level 2 course you can take advantage of chartering one of our bare boat charter boats to apply your skills independently.
BARE BOAT RIB CHARTER
Why not charter a boat with us and develop your new boating skills on your own or on an assisted charter? New students that have completed a RYA Powerboat level 2 course with us can book a bareboat charter and enjoy a 20% discount on published full day rates.
All you need to undertake a bareboat charter or assisted charter is a valid RYA Powerboat Level 2 certificate.
VHF DSC COURSE
The only legal requirement for boating use in the UK, is the VHF radio operators license. If you want to study this as a sole qualification you can choose to take a classroom based option or our new online RYA VHF radio course with virtual radio simulator to study in your own chosen time.
